The earliest records on Loek Yum the Immortal Teacher, is the account him being an ancient god
whose first known appearance was being the Prime Minister to the

or
(2697-2598 BC) to whom he taught the techniques of immortality.
His next recognized appearance is that of being the Prime Minister to
太上老君
Lao Zi
(604-479B.C.).
But that's about all. Although in 1977 an early model of a Loek Yum
diviner's board was unearthed at Fuyang, Anhui province in a tomb dated
165 B.C.
There are no signs of Loek Yum Seen Si again until he was reincarnated during the short lived
隋朝
Sui Dynasty (581-618)
as
李
淳
風
Li Chun-Feng ("Pure-Morals" Lee)
(602-670A.D.) in a town called
岐山
Zhishan which was a hundred miles from the ancient capital of
長安
Changan.
That was a place which the future Tang emperor would call "Immortal Pasture".
The town was in
岐州 Zhizhou
(todays
山西
Shanxi) province.
李播
Li Bo, father of Pure-Morals Lee, was a positively joyful and carefree
Taoist. He was 50 years
old when Pure-Morals was born.
His son's name implies that in a world of pure morals it's via the
"Tao" that one attains enlightenment. In childhood, Pure-Morals Lee's
appearance was certainly not cute.
At three years old he still had not made a sound, and could not walk
(in todays world he would have been labeled retarded or something to
that effect). The family members all
worried for him. But after a Daoist priest analysed Pure-Morals
physiogamy, he said that his future certainly could be
independent, indomitable, and the most unrivalled remarkable man.
Finally, it was only at
the age of seven years old when his talent slowly started to
appear. When Pure-Morals read
詩經 Book of Odes,
書經 Book of Documents,
禮
記
Book of Rites,
樂經
Book of Music
易
經
Book
of
Changes,
春秋
Spring and Autumn Period Annals (Annals of the State of Lu)
and
孝經
Canon
of
Filial Peity,
he only had to read them once and he was able to
recite them. The locals all expressed thier admiration.
Pure-Morals Lee liked to ponder things. One day, on the way home, he encountered wind and rain.
He then thought about the fact that the weather was not being measured, and that to enable
guaranteed safety for himself and family members,
there must be a diagram by
諸葛孔明
Zhuge
Kongming (181-234) that would indicate how one could implement supernatural
power to allow for the forecasting of celestial phenomenon, as well as
distinguish between good and bad fortune. It was then that he decided to
follow a Taoist priest and study more Taoism. However, the priest told
him that due to his young age, for the time being, he should stay home
and take care of his mother and that he should wait until the conditions are
ripe. Pure-Morals stayed home until his mother passed on. Later, he bumped
into the old Taoist priest again at the Wei River bank.
At that time he took him on formally as a disciple. Perhaps this
arrangement was destiny.
He was
至元法師
Priest Zhi Yuan. The priest taught Pure-Morals the skills from the book
《月波洞中記》 the collected
"Moon Wave in the Cave Record" by
鬼
谷
子
Gui
Gu
zi
and
張仲遠 Zhang Zhongyuan. After masterering the skill, just by looking at
someones face, he could tell the persons past karma and future effects.
When they were born and when they'll die. Besides that book, there
was another book called
太一
九宮占
"Imperial Nine Palaces" by
孔明 Kong Ming which the preist
taught Pure-Morals. The skills in this book are called
奇門遁甲
The Art of Making Oneself Invisible (based on priciples from the
Yi Jing). After he fully cultivated those skills, he could tell
whether the celestial phenominomes would break unlucky or auspicious.
This book has an eternity of wonder.
Actually, Pure-Morals Lee's Taoist studies were no simple matters. After he became
Zhi-yuan's disciple, he followed the master to
靜雲觀 Calm Cloud Temple in
南陀山 Nantuoshan.
During the day he had to cut firewood, haul water, cultive the fields
and reorganize the classics for the master. It was only at night when he
had the opportunity to be alone with the master and study the Taoist
arts, talismans, incantations and other wonderful techniques and
mystical powers for several years until he had become proficient in
those arts. In order to gain actual combat experience the master took
him traveling all around examining mountains and bodies of water,
comparing the masculine and feminine elements of geomantical phenomenom.
After returning to Calm Cloud Temple, he got a chance to study
孫子兵法
"Sun Zi's Art of War", techniques of manufacturing weapons, the imperial arts, and the laws
to govern a nation. Pure-Morals Lee studied the numerological
techniques and the Taoist magical arts with the master for ten years. After cultivating the
immortal Tao, he obtained enlightenment. He was then ready to
take his skills and contribute them to his own people
folk. Helping the kind and faithful to hold back danger in emergencies, exorcises ghosts,
and take down monsters amongst numerous other helpful things.
At that time the reigning ruler was
隋煬帝
Emperor Yangdi
of the Sui dynasty. This person craved greatness, success, and was
cruel and unkind. Under his rule, the people couldn't make a living.
Political struggles and even the chage of dynasties are greatly
influenced by omens. An omen tells a mysterious prophecy; if someone fit
the heavenly decree or mandate and should be the emperor, there would
be a sign signifying as such.
Then, Pure-Morals Lee decided that he would come down
the mountain to pursue the
真命天子 "Mandated Son of Heaven" to help unify the land and provide
benefits for the people as soon as possible.
On his way down the mountain, suddenly someone in deep anxiety appeared. It was
程咬金Cheng Yaochin. Because of the fact that Cheng Yaochin had made a
hole in the winding mountain range of Nantuoshan to make a well, he had
destroyed the geomancy and which (unbenounced to him) was involved with
his mothers eyes loseing sight. Pure-Morals Lee figured out the cause,
and instructed Cheng Yaochin on what to do. Cheng Yaochin then
immediately
sealed the well. Within three days without any medication, the
mothers vision was restored.
Yaochin admired Pure-Morals and was very deeply convinced (of his
skills) and widely propagandized the name of Pure-Morals Lee. From this
time on Pure-Morals Lee then pursued the Mandated Son of Heaven while at
the same time helping people.
But at the time he had no idea where to seek the Mandated Son of Heaven.
So Pure-Morals Lee then returned to his old master's side. His master
advised him that the Mandated Son of Heaven would very quickly appear.
Pure-Morals Lee descended the mountain once more. This time as he
descended the mountain he bumps into fellow villager
劉文靜
"Gentle Liu", who presented him to
李淵
Li Yuan's (566–635) second son (who was Turkish, the most capapble and militarily inclined of Li Yuan's many sons)
李世民
Li Shimin (599-649).
Together they discussed national affairs. Afterwards, in 618 and Pure-Morals was sixteen,
Li Yuan attacked and took over Chang An to
become the new Tang emperor. Then it became solidified that Li Shimin was the
秦王
The King of Qin (a particular area under the Tang Empire). Other sons
also had their respective territories. Pure-Morals Lee had become Li
Shimin's official statesman/minister. It's a pity that after Li Yuan
became the emperor he sunk to being addicted to amusement and did not
think about the royal government. Because Gentle Liu also admonished the
emperor for excessive killings, thereafter, numerous sons had their
hands and feet severed. Furthermore, a grand feast was arranged to
injure the blood brothers and
others. This historical event became known as
玄武門之變
"The Palace Coup at the Xuanwu Gate" (626). Finally, they are all completely killed.
When the 齊王King of Qi
,李
元吉
Li Yuanji (Li Yuan's fourth son)
returned to an uneven government office. Two months later, Li Yuan
abdicated set up Li Shimin to be the second emperor of the Tang dynasty.
Li Shimin had Pure-Morals Lee bring his talent fully
into play. He then wrote and offered up
《歷朝治要》 "Requirements to Govern Successive Dynasties"
which is a book that is a blueprint on how to rule a nation. In 627,
Li Shimin, with his fathers help, got Pure-Morals into the
國子監
Imperial College (the highest educational administration in feudal China),
where he would become
梁述 teaching assistant to Dr. Liang Shu, where he compiled, checked, adjusted and annotated
《五曹孫子》 "Five Cao Calculations",
《算經》
"The Calculations Canon",
《周易》
"The Book of Changes", 《孝經》 "The Canon of Filial Peity",
《祿命》"Wealth
Life" and
《相經》 "Physiogamy Canon" amongst others. Pure-Moral's comments in these
texts are all clearly indicated (which is certainly not true for most of
the other commentators). He begins each comment with the words:-
Your servant, Chunfeng, and his collaborators respectfully comment on...
In 641 he was promoted to the position of deputy director of the Astronomical Bureau. That
was because the calendar of the days predictions of eclipses were getting out of step.
Pure-Morals improved Zu Geng's derivation for the volume of a sphere by changing the old π=3,
into π=22/7.
He revolutionised the old muddy meters and invented the
三辰儀 "Three Celestial Bodies meter",
四游儀 "Four Swim meter",
六合儀 "Six Harmonies astrological instrument" and other instruments.
In 648 Pure-Morals was appointed as the director of the Imperial Astronomical Bureau
He also wrote other important books such as one that
reestablished a new lunar
calendar called.
《麟德歷》 "Fabulous Virtue Calendar". This calendar gave better results as it long nonths and
short months. It also had
intercalary months every three years to allow for he fact that a solar year has 365.2422 days
while the lunar months, consisting of 29.5306 days, contain 354.3672 days. It was introduced
in 665.
《典章文物志》
"The Annals of Decrees, Regulations and Cultural Relics",
《秘閣錄》
"Imperial Palace Confidential Documents Record",
《法象志》 "Uncanny Image Annals"
《乾坤變异錄》
"Universal Variations Record" and 《齊民要術》 "Required Arts for the Masses" amongst others.
But his three most noteworthy texts are
《金鎖流珠引》
"Commentary and Introduction to the Gold Lock and
Flowing Pearls" (which was a book about Taoist supernatural power)
《乙巳占》(645)
"Yi Si Astrological Divination" (which is an astrological classic that played an important role
in the history of Chinese culture) and his most famous classic is...
Pure Morals Lee predicted the future with great accuracy. He could forecast Li Yuan's ailing
condition, and easily figure out the current dynasty's foremost person in the field. Everybody
expressed their admiration. Afterwards Pure-Morals Lee was ordered to write what would become
an eternaly wonderful book
《推背圖》 "Tui Bei Tu" or "Back Massage
Diagrams" or the "Massage Chart Prophecy" (which is a proven prophecy), the Back Massage Diagrams altogether has 60 images,
each with 4 x 4 stanzas for the prophecy. These drawings and verses contain metaphors for the
future which would occur and become historical fact. Before the matter has occurred, a person
who looks at the diagrams certainly can not trace the meaning. After the matter occurs and
the person then goes back again and seriously ponders the image and the writings, only then,
is suddenly enlighted. The 60th diagram reads: "thousands of years needs endless telling,
so we'd better stop and enjoy a comfortable message".
The closest rendition of this book in English is "The Great
Prophecies of China" from the University of Chicago.
唐太宗
Tang
Taitsung who then promoted Pure-Morals Lee from statesman/minister to
the National Master (this position is always held by a Taoist priest
and functions as a consultant in most areas including fotune telling,
geomancy [feng sui], divinations, astronomy, astrology, physiogamy,
mathematics, numerology, etc).
Loek Yum Seen Si Pure Morals Lee made great contributions to the making of
astronomical apparatus, the revising of the calendar, the development of aerography and ancient
Chinese science in general.
In the history of the world, no scientist has ever come up with any theory to understand
the universe that hasn't been overturned by another scientist within a hundred years or so. But
Loek Yum Seen Si devised a system that has unified the fields of math, astronomy,
astrology numerology, divination and supernatural manipulation. One thing that this unified system has
produced is an accurate prediction of the future which has been proven from it's conception
in the 600's (A.D.) to the current day!
Because in ancient times the flames of war were frequent,
bandits and thieves were common place.
Therefore Loek Yum the immortal teacher made an especially Great Divine Awesome Manifestation
and bestowed supernatural ability onto the common people.
All of the sincere disciples were impermeable to knives and axes.
Thusly sincere disciples all can protect themselves.
Simultaneously experincing extraordinarily good luck and greatly prosperity.
The objective of Loek Yum Sun Goong is to lead the person towards kindness.
Supernatural power is boundless, ever changing and is a prominent
awesome manifestation. Therefore it is still being transmitted today.
All of the verbal accounts do have a congruent
affirmation, which is that the Immortal Teacher wants the
various people of the later generations (us) to not forget
what Heaven and Earth has bestowed upon us and entrust us to not disregard the natural enviornment and
the Tao.
